Mr. Mahbubul Anam

Chairman

Mr. Anam is a leading entrepreneur in Bangladesh with 40 years of experience in a variety of industries including freight forwarding, international courier, RMG and aviation services among others. He graduated as a mechanical engineer from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He is the Managing Director of Expo Freight Limited, one of the largest freight forwarding companies in the country, and holds directorship positions in various other organizations. Mr. Anam is highly reputed in the field of sports, currently holding the position of Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. He is also the President of the Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association (BAFFA) for 2019.

Mr. Nuher Latif Khan

Managing Director

Mr. Khan is an entrepreneur with over 10 years experience of project development in the power sector. He started his career in power development as the Founder and Managing Director of Desh Energy Ltd in 2005. Under his dynamic leadership, the company successfully built a portfolio of 110MW, comprising of liquid fuel and gas fired power plants. After leaving his role with Desh Energy Limited in 2013, Mr. Khan shifted his focus to renewable energy and founded Joules Power Limited (JPL), where he successfully oversaw the implementation of Bangladesh’s first utility-scale, national grid-tied Solar IPP in Teknaf. Mr. Khan holds an undergraduate degree from University College London (UCL) in B.A. Economics and Business with East European Studies and completed his Executive MBA from Columbia Business School, London Business School, and Hong Kong Business School as part of the EMBA Global Asia Program. Mr. Khan also serves as a Director at the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

Mr. Mohammad A. Moyeen

Director

Mr. Moyeen is a very prominent and highly respected business personality in Bangladesh, with 40 years of experience across a range of industries. He is an architect engineer by education from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Mr. Moyeen started his business career in the RMG manufacturing sector as the Managing Director of Tropica Garments Ltd in 1982. Since then he has diversified into various industries and holds directorship positions in prominent businesses like Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, International School Dhaka, and WAC Logistics Limited. He serves as the chairman of LankaBangla Finance Ltd, one of the largest NBFI’s in the country and is the Managing Director of Bengal Meat Processing Industries Limited.

Mr. Rayan Moyeen

Director - Operations

Mr. Moyeen is an entrepreneur with 3 years of experience in project development in the renewable power sector of Bangladesh. He graduated with an Honours B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Toronto in 2015. After 2 years in operations management in the energy retail sector in Toronto, he moved to Bangladesh and joined Joules Power Limited. As Director – Operations, he successfully oversaw the implementation and operations of Technaf Solartech Energy Limited, Bangladesh’s first and largest solar IPP. Mr. Moyeen is a Certified Associate of Project Management (from the Project Management Institute) and serves as co-convener of the National Energy Security Council in the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).
